Hand made markets to showcase region’s creative talent and make gift-buying a pleasure

11 November 2014

Imagine Christmas shopping with a glass of wine in hand as the sun goes down, live music in the air, a hand selected range of products to choose from, chatting with friends, and buying gifts directly from the maker.

Cobb+Co Museum Director Deborah Bailey says the annual artisan market Hand Made Under the Stars on Thursday 4 December offers just that – the ultimate Christmas shopping experience.

“Each year, for one evening only, Cobb+Co Museum is handed over to more than 50 local artisans who have been selected to showcase their hand made products and connect directly with customers,” Deborah said

“There are stalls throughout the Museum, outside in the Show Ring, around the National Carriage Collection and throughout the galleries – we provide the venue and the live music, but the artisans are the real stars of the night.

“It is a wonderful event and the atmosphere is just electric – the real challenge is deciding whether to give away the gifts you’ve bought or just keep them for yourself!”

Hand Made Under the Stars is on Thursday 4 December, 5pm-8pm at Cobb+Co Museum, Toowoomba. Entry is free.
