On the day
In this next level Leatherplaiting Workshop, you will learn the skills of cutting and plaiting kangaroo leather. Under your tutor's instruction, you will cut each individual strand by hand. This will allow you to learn the skill and judgment required to follow and read the grain of the hide, checking the tensile strength of each strand as you go. A well cut strand allows you to plait a much tighter and better looking thong which will withstand the test of time. You will make your choice of an 8 strand whip or 13 strand belt.
