Millinery Workshop with Johanna Guerin

Custom make a pillbox hat which will complement your wardrobe


Prerequisite: Participants need to have hand sewing skills
Venue: Cobb+Co Museum, 27 Lindsay Street, Toowoomba
Date: Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 July 2017
Time: 9am – 4pm
Cost: $345 (incl GST) includes expert instruction, all materials and morning and afternoon tea and lunch
Age: 16 years and over
Requirements: Please wear closed in shoes

This Workshop has a maximum of ten participants.

On the day

In this intermediate Millinery workshop you will learn to block a pillbox using foundation millinery materials on traditional hat blocks. Bring your own fashion fabric (silk or satin with a bias pull is recommended) to cover and complete your pillbox creating a final piece to complement your wardrobe.

Meet your tutor

Johanna Guerin has an eye for detail. Her high quality workmanship has resulted in her hats being worn across the world and at all major Australian Horse Racing events, as well as the Dubai World Cup and Royal Ascot events. Johanna was awarded the RAW Australia Queensland Accessories Designer in 2013. You will see Johanna's costumer millinery on the Empire Theatre stage in the 2017 season of "Wicked".
