Forge a metal flower in this three hour workshop designed for teens during the Lost Trades Fair

Date: Sunday 7 October 2018 (during the Lost Trades Fair)
Time: 9am - 12pm 
Cost: $120 (includes all materials, tuition and entry to the Lost Trades Fair) 
Age: 13 - 17 years
Requirements: Please wear closed in shoes, long trousers and long sleeves

On the day

Teens will learn the process of heating and forging a piece of metal into a simple flower design under the expert tuition of our resident champion blacksmith, Terry Drennan.

Meet your tutor

Terry Drennan began training as a blacksmith and farrier in Melbourne when he was 21 years old. He has won the Australian champion in blacksmithing and farriery on many occasions. At the same time, Terry never lost the skills and enthusiasm for the other traditional facets of his trade such as making decorative gates and furniture. He has been teaching blacksmithing courses at Cobb+Co Museum for over 15 years.
