Curator Conversation is a series of entertaining talks hosted by Queensland Museum Curator Jeff Powell.

Theme: Dr Jim Thompson, Acting Chief Executive Officer at Queensland Museum Network will present: 
Biosecurity: What are the threats we are facing?

Dr Thompson comes to Queensland Museum from Biosecurity Queensland where he was the Chief Biosecurity Officer since 2011. He has been involved in research programs involving livestock management, invasive species management and wildlife ecology and conservation. 

Dr Thompson has a PHD in Wildlife Management, a Master of Resource Science and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Zoology/Animal Biology.
