Photographic Tribute to Anzac Day

Featuring 26 beautiful images, this moving tribute is on display for a limited time at Cobb+Co Museum.

Proud by Gerard Saide

For the past 30 years, members of the Toowoomba Photographic Society have been photographing Anzac Day marches in Brisbane and the Toowoomba region.

As 2015 is the 100th Anniversary of Anzac, the Society decided to mark this historic milestone by having an exhibition of some of those photos. The photos are not so much of the marches themselves but rather focus on the participants and their relationships with family members.

Many of the photos capture intimate moments that convey a sense of the strong camaraderie that still exists today between the people who bravely served our nation in order to preserve the freedoms that we enjoy today.

Sadly, many of the old warriors depicted in these photos are no longer with us, but we hope that, through these photos, the sacrifices they made will never be forgotten.

Presented in conjunction with the Toowoomba Photographic Society Inc.
