Megafauna to Minibeasts

Prep to Year 7

Get up close and personal with a variety of hands-on Australian animals, the cuddly and not so cuddly.

  • How soft is a sugar glider?
  • Is a tawny frogmouth a bird or a frog?
  • What does an echnida feel like?
  • How large is a giant burrowing cockroach?

Find the answers to these and many more questions during this hands-on experience which enables students to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, skins, nests, tracks and other specimens. Students can also discover Megafauna, the giant prehistoric marsupials and reptiles which once roamed the Darling Downs.

All school visits must be pre-booked.
