Annual Pass frequently asked questions

Do Toowoomba Regional Council residents still get free entry?
Yes, this arrangement has not changed.

Do Annual Pass members get discounts in the Museum Shop, Cobb’s Coffee Shop or for Hands On Workshops?
No, it is just for general entry to the Museums.

Do Annual Pass members get discounts to Museum events?
Many of our events are ‘free with admission’ such as our Curator Conversations, so you will have free access to these events (you won’t have to pay admission each time). However, there are no discounts to special events that have a separate cost (such as school holiday programs, evening events, etc.) – these costs apply to local residents and Annual Pass members alike.

’ll probably only come to the Museum once this year, should I get an Annual Pass membership?
It is entirely up to you. However, if you were to come again within 12 months, the Annual Pass is definitely the cheaper option. You also receive a 10% off your entry to other Queensland Museum Network campuses.

Where does my membership fee go?
All revenue whether from admission fees, Annual Pass membership, Cobb’s Coffee Shop or the Museum Shop, go back into the Museum to be used towards the events and activities that we run.

Do I have to bring my card every time?
Yes, you will need to bring the Annual Pass card each time you visit the Museum or you will be asked to pay entry.

Why do I have to provide my personal details including contact information to sign up for Annual Pass membership?
Annual Pass membership entitles you to receive updates on events and exhibitions via our e-news service.  Your personal information can also assist us with research to help improve our industry.
