Experience the Museum after dark for a fun-filled night of science activities for all ages to celebrate National Science Week.

Inspired by the temporary Alice’s Wonderland exhibition, you will be amazed and intrigued as we look at the fascinating world of science.

Join us for live music, food, drinks and an array of science innovations inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Explore the Museum to see what innovations science has to offer, including hands on activities, demonstrations and pop-up shows. 

Science Shows

There will be two highly entertaining, engaging and educational science shows. Shows are at 6pm and 7pm featuring lots of fun, interactive science with a magic flavour!


Channel your inner Obi-Wan and create an Alice in Wonderland inspired hologram. Presented by BOP Industries.

STEM Punks

The experienced team from STEM Punks will inspire tomorrow's innovators with Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM). Learn how robots operate and how they can be used to solve everyday problems. You can get hands-on experience with the Humanoid Robot!

Light/Liquid Nitrogen Science Demos

From lighting to liquid nitrogen, get your science on with this exciting, entertaining and informative show. Presented by UQ Science Demo Troupe.

Science Interactives

Solve the riddle of the microbiome - make your own DNA necklace! Help decide which animals should be classified together based on their shared bacterial communities. Dr Kathryn Hall and Dr Jessica Worthington Wilmer, from Queensland Museum, will answer questions relating to the DNA of animals and bacteria, and how this DNA can be used to help scientists understand species and animal populations in time and space.

The Science of Chocolate

Learn about the science behind chocolate making and sample some internationally recognized local chocolate crafted in Toowoomba.  


There will be live music, roving entertainment, airbrush body art, bubble tea, delicious food offerings and other science fun!

Ticket price

Cost: $15 Adults, $10 Child (5-15 years), children under 5 are free.

All ages event, bookings essential as numbers are limited.
