Code Breakers: Women in Games

Opens Monday 10 May 2021

Plug into the world of gaming at Cobb+Co Museum’s latest exhibition.

Code Breakers: Women in Games, on loan from ACMI, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, explores the emerging role of women in video game development, and includes games written and designed by Australian and New Zealand women, sharing their personal experiences from within the industry.

With ten games on display, the exhibition is a great way for visitors to immerse themselves into different worlds.

You can crush bullies in Ninja Pizza Girl, run with animals in Armello or race suped-up cars in Need for Speed: No Limits, with games made by emerging and established makers.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or advanced player, there is something for everyone at every skill level. You will also learn about the science and the women behind the games along the way.

Please note: This exhibition is not recommended for children under the age of 10. Some game content includes stylised violence and adult themes.

Exhibition admission is included with general museum entry

Museum entry is free for residents of the Toowoomba Regional Council area with proof of residency.
